Hunter Douglas and PowerView repair is our specialty. Motors, batteries, remotes, broken cords, lift systems and tilt mechanisms, repaired at your home.

Problems we repair

Hunter Douglas shades are premium products, and they deserve a careful repair. We work on corded and motorized systems and find the real cause before fixing anything.

PowerView & motorized shades

Shades that will not respond, stop partway, run slowly, make noise or lost their connection to the remote, hub or app. We check power, battery, motor and connection.

Broken cords & lift systems

Snapped or frayed cords, cord locks that will not grip, and shades that hang crooked or will not raise evenly.

Tilt mechanisms

Wands that spin freely, slats that will not rotate, and gears that skip or bind.

Fallen & stuck shades

Shades that came off the wall, brackets that pulled out, and shades jammed in position.

Shade styles we work on

  • Cellular / honeycomb
  • Roller
  • Roman
  • Sheer / layered
  • Woven
  • Horizontal blinds
  • Vertical blinds
  • Shutters

Motorized shades

PowerView troubleshooting, step by step

A motorized shade that stops working is rarely a mystery once someone tests it properly. We narrow it down in this order:

  1. Power & battery

Is the shade getting what it needs? Weak or dead batteries are a common reason a shade is slow, stops partway or goes silent.

  2. Motor

Does the motor run when powered directly? We listen for noise, hesitation and strain.

  3. Remote, hub & app

If the shade works but will not respond to commands, the problem is the connection. We find it and fix it.
